HEMP COMPLIANT DELTA 9 THC

Compliant Delta 9

You might be wondering how Hemp-derived Delta 9 THC products are even possible!? It’s a lot more simple than you think, and you’d be surprised why this isn’t more common. However, due to certain restrictions with Marijuana, Hemp product manufacturers are left to be even more creative. Here is what you need to know about compliant Delta 9 THC products.

Delta 9 THC

What is Cannabis?

Cannabis refers to a trio of plants that originate in nature, and whose flowers have psychoactive properties. The plants are harvested, and their flowers are dried. Through any one of a number of processes the psychoactive elements are isolated and readied for use. They may be smoked directly, using any of the typical methods.

The elements can be combined with a variety of other substances to make anything from medicines, oils, gummies, or pastries. Each of these end products has its own psychoactive benefits and properties. Aside from its recreational uses cannabis has been used to ameliorate a number of ailments.

IS CANNABIS HEMP?

Both Marijuana and Hemp are a species of Cannabis Sativa L plants. However, Hemp was made legal when the Farm Bill of 2018 was passed. That legislation decriminalized hemp-derived products so long as that variety contained less than .3% THC. This opened the door for many wholesalers and retailers to invest in the product. Hemp sales rose dramatically and it’s currently on an upward trend.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN POPULAR CANNABINOIDS

Cannabinoids are natural occurring compounds found in Hemp. Three of the most popular cannabinoids are Cannabidiol (CBD), Delta 9 THC and Delta 8 THC. Here is a breakdown of all three cannabinoids:

    • CBD – Cannabidiol is the major non-psychoactive ingredient of cannabis. Its hemp-derived version is one of the best selling products in the cannabis-producing industry. The substance can be legally distributed as long as it remains below the legal .3% limit. CBD products can be smoked and vaped, or used as ingredients in various edibles.

    • Delta-9 THC – THC is the most prevalent psychoactive compound in Marijuana, but less prevalent in Hemp. The Delta-9 variety is the one most responsible for the recreational 'high' associated with cannabis. It can be detected in the human body for up to twenty hours after ingestion, even though its psychoactive effects only last a few hours at most.

    • Delta-9 enters the human system through smoking, inhaling or ingesting. Its effects produce feelings of euphoria, altered time perception, heightened senses and increased appetite. While these effects remain relatively pleasant, it should be noted that Delta-9 THC can also generate anxiety, delusions, and memory loss in certain cases.
      • Delta-8 THC – Delta-8 is a Hemp compound that is very similar to Delta-9. Their difference is a molecular variation, in which a single bond exists on a different molecular strand, as you compare the two. That molecular variance gives the two compounds slightly different properties.

Although Delta 8 bonds to human cannabinoid receptors just as readily as Delta 9, it does so in a different fashion, producing effects that are milder and more measured in terms of their psychoactive impact. In terms of legislation, Delta-9 THC is specifically outlawed in concentrations above .3%. Delta-8 THC isn't specifically mentioned, so its legal status is a lot less certain.

    PERCENTAGE OF DELTA 9 THC

First and foremost, the THC manufactures use comes from the Hemp plant, and not from Marijuana. Secondly, they have less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC in them. Each gummy contains less than 0.3% of Delta-9 THC by dry weight.

For example, individual gummies have approximately 10 mg of THC and have a total weight of 6 grams (6,000 mg). That means 0.3% of Delta-9 THC comes to approximately 10 mg. Therefore, each pack comes with approximately 100 mg of Delta 9 THC at 10 mg each. In order for them to be compliant with current Hemp laws, each Gummy needs to have approximately 0.3% of Delta 9 THC.

If you’re curious if Hemp derived Delta 9 products are strong, they are! Although it is Hemp compliant you’ll still get that familiar experience from the Delta 9 THC. One important thing to keep in mind is that any Hemp product with less than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC is legal. Therefore, you should be able to experience the great things from our Delta 9 THC products. Just like all other products start slow and low.
